LEXIE CANNES STATE OF TRANS — On the presidential primary campaign trail this week, Sen. Ted Cruz unleashed a verbal assault on trans kids:
“[The U.S. Department of Education is] trying to force a junior high to let a teenage boy shower with the teenage girls. . . . Look, my five-year-old daughter, Catherine – she knows the difference between boys and girls.”
When told about a case of a trans kid using a teacher’s lounge bathroom, Cruz said: “Look, I don’t know the facts of that, but I’ll say that inflicting – inflicting him on the teachers is probably better than sticking him in the shower with the teenage girls.”

There’s no need to say more about Cruz’s trans hate-fest. A vote for Cruz is a vote to inflict a life of misery on trans people.

I *love* that he wants to base human rights on a five year old’s grasp of biology.

Any trans person–along with any woman, veteran, minority, or sentient being–who votes for Cruz is a complete fool. Cruz is a slimy, mean-spirited, evil little man who would take this country back to the 1950’s. Stay far, far away from that lowlife scumbag.
A vote for any republican will deal the same fate.
That, alone, would stop me from voting for him!! I agree that bathrooms and showers need to be redesigned to be gender neutral, so let’s get on with it….there are many people who would prefer a private space to do their “business”, so…what is the holdup? .
