State legislator on trans athletes: Show me your genitals!

Rep Roger Hunt transphobiaLEXIE CANNES STATE OF TRANS — A South Dakota lawmaker is proposing “visual inspections” of transgender athletes in the state’s high schools to ensure they’re restricted to teams matching “birth gender”.

Unhappy with South Dakota High School Activities Association’s recent adoption of a trans equality policy, state Rep. Roger Hunt, a Republican, is proposing to undo the policy with birth certificates and required visual inspections.

Hunt in the Rapid City Journal: “This is South Dakota. We haven’t adopted the East Coast culture. We haven’t adopted the West Coast culture. We maintain our own culture.”

The same source has Hunt saying the transgender debate is riding the gay marriage wave. While at least one other Republican is behind Hunt, another one thinks this action is premature.

Hunt’s proposal would be a laughable joke if it weren’t for the fact similar proposals in other states (Bathroom Bills) that made a bit of headway last year before failing. At least one state has a Bathroom Bill proposal for their upcoming session.

  1. The dinosaurs are getting desperate. When your reasoning devolves to one of regional cultural and no longer relies on you know they are running out of boiled down, amounts to “I don’t like it”. Delicious to watch.

  2. These “bathroom bills” are inherently dangerous as they take away a persons right of free speech and personal expression. Having someone carry their birth certificate around is the same as having a police officer standing there saying, “Papers Please.” These people seem to be either blind to the fact that if you take away one of the people’s rights it is easier to take away all the rights. Or they are aware of this fact and are moving toward taking away all the Constitutionally guaranteed rights and have a Republican dictatorship.

  3. If this person wants me to recognize them as a man and address them as such then I want to see his genitals also. Uhhhh… Wait a sec… I don’t think I want to after all. Why don’t we both just stipulate that we can each decide who we are.

  4. he wants to be able to rape legally lmfao. you know, all these nasty ass cis men and women keep wanting to inspect our junk while simultaneously calling us deviants. it says a lot.

  5. He sounds like the perv who hides in the girls locker room to get a peak. I would suggest he visit a mental health professional about his obsession.

  6. Oh my! What a dirty old man!! 🙂

  7. Thanks for the comments everyone. I hoping the pervert comments here and elsewhere are making their way back to him in a very public way so others thinking of proposing “visual inspections” will think twice.

  8. Would Mr. Hunt happen to have a history of peeping or kiddie porn? I suppose he wants to perform these inspections personally.
