LEXIE CANNES STATE OF TRANS — After being nominated by her employer, trans woman Meghan Stabler found herself the winner of Working Mother magazine’ annual Working Mother of the Year award.

Stabler, an employee of CA Technologies, is the first trans woman chosen for the award. Each employer in Working Mother’s 100 Best Companies for 2014 list was eligible to nominate someone in their employ. CA Technologies selected Stabler.

Stabler widely known in the trans community for her advocacy and lobbying on behalf of trans and LGBT people.
