UPDATE July 2, 2014 – Suspect turns himself in. From The Advocate:

“A suspect in the shooting murder of 28-year-old transgender woman Tiffany Edwards has turned himself in after police issued a warrant for his arrest on Saturday.

Quamar Edwards — who is not related to the victim — turned himself in earlier today in connection with the June 26 murder of Tiffany Edwards, whose body was found shot to death in the Cincinnati suburb of Walnut Hills, Ohio. Tiffany Edwards was the fourth transgender woman found murdered in Ohio since January 2013, and the fourth trans woman of color murdered in the U.S. during the month of June.

WLWT reports that, according to Quamar Edwards’ uncle, he provided the victim with a ride, but “lost his cool” when she “came onto him.”

  1. How sickening isn’t this, sometimes I’m happy I live in a civilized part of the world (well almost, after having had my fair share)? How come anyone cares who you are, what you are, what you do, come from and look like in the first place? Hugs to ya all! /Giovanna

  2. omg! this is horrible! Why cant pple accept others and just get along?

  3. I work in Cincinnati now and have driven past or near that location several times!

  4. Fix your first paragraph where you said the burn victim was in OH. Later info says the burn victim was in FL.
