LEXIE CANNES STATE OF TRANS — Following a showdown with a trans woman who dared him to ‘stone her to death,’ a Shreveport, La., City Council member withdrew his attempt to repeal an anti-discrimination ordinance.
During a city council meeting in December, Councilman Ron Webb argued: “the Bible tells you homosexuals are an abomination . . .” but persuaded no one as the ordinance was passed 6 to 1.
In a little more than a week later, Webb proposed a measure to repeal the ordinance and during a recent city council meeting, trans woman Pamela Raintree called out Webb and stated:
“Leviticus 20:13 states, ‘If a man also lie with mankind as he lieth with a woman, they shall surely put him to death.’
I brought the first stone, Mr. Webb, in case that your Bible talk isn’t just a smoke screen for personal prejudices.”
Webb dropped his repeal proposal shortly after that.

I’m glad to see such bravery in my home town!
It’s about time those bible bashers get a taste of their own scriptures. I’m glad to see that Pamela told that idiot off. Good for her.
Brave little lady : ) I’m glad she called him out on his stupidity. Did he know that Jesus never said anything about sexuality except for telling people to be monogamous(or be celibate). Jesus did thoroughly condemn hypocrites and people that judge others.
But that’s beside the point. No city council in the USA should be quoting Bible verses. Can you imagine if there was a Muslim on the city council who wanted to quote from the Koran? I’m sure this guy would suddenly understand the concept of separation between religion and government.
Jumping to conclusions Trans ppl are Homosexual is stupid..Alot aren’t, and if so..its their business..not his or anyones..!

One thing that always confused me. If one is homosexual, but not bisexual, do they even meet the criterion of Leviticus? After all, they do not “lieth with women”.
