Trans woman found dead in Edmonton; Detroit victim identified

edmonton trans womanTHE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — Police found the body of a trans woman in an Edmonton, Alberta in a motel on Nov. 22, 2013. An autopsy revealed she died of blunt head trauma. Rosa (aka Rose, Dido) was Indonesian who was in Canada on a work visa.

Last week police arrested Marcel Cristian Niculae and charged him with Rosa’s murder. Police say the victim communicated via phone with Niculae prior to their meeting at the motel.

Last month I reported here that a body of a trans woman was found in a trash can in Detroit but was unidentified. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office has now identified her as Calvin Curtis Lipscomb. (I have been unable to find out her preferred name. When I find out, I will make corrections here. Anyone with info please comment below.)

The victim died of a shotgun wound and was burned beyond recognition. Family members with fingerprint information helped with the victim’s identification. No suspects or motive for the killing has been announced by the police.
