THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — After admitting to harassing a transgender neighbor, a Blackburn, UK man was ordered by a magistrate to stay away from her. Matthew Mark Rivers was also ordered to serve 60 hours of community service as part of the sentencing.
Following a dispute with his neighbor, Natalie Porter, over an electricity bill, Rivers began verbally harassing and ridiculing her in public, including at a community center where Porter was a volunteer. Rivers told people there that it wasn’t inappropriate for Porter to be working with children.
Porter stated the ordeal resulted in a setback in her transitioning. The prosecution argued the Rivers’ behavior was akin to racial prejudice.
