THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — I compiled a list of the 29 violent transgender deaths that crossed my desk during 2013 for an article in The Huffington Post. The HuffPost article has a link back to the source for each death to help those of you keeping tabs.
I am also linking my HuffPost article through this blog so I can attach this photo array of the deceased to the article — something I think many of you will appreciate.
Feel free to share this article, sources and/or the photo for your Transgender Day of Remembrance events.

Not sure if it’s available or not but for any where someone has been arrested it would be
great to know if they’ve been charged with a hate crime
In most cases they don’t make this decision right away. The DA needs time to establish the strength of a hate crime charge. By then the story disappears , , , I went back and see if there were follow-up stories just before publishing the TDOR 2013 and sadly, there were very few.
Shouldn’t Islan Nettles be included?
She is included. And her photo is in the array as well.
