THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — The headline of KCAL’s website report on the murder of a trans women referred to the victim as a ‘man in a dress’. KCAL is a CBS affiliate in Los Angeles.

The station did rewrite the headlines after it was first posted, but not before its misgendering comments made its way around the internet. I spotted these doing a simple Google search on the murder victim.
Headlines:
“Transgender Man Found Murdered in his . . .”
“Suspect Sought In Murder of Fontana Man Dressed as a Woman”
Within the body of the report:
“The Coroner Wednesday identified a Fontana man who was found murdered in his apartment dressed in women’s clothing”.
To the station’s benefit, they did pull the offending headlines and apparently rewrote the report and included gender-correct or neutral terms and pronouns throughout the report. But they did not remove all traces of their blunder. You can view them below.

We’re not talking about a network affiliate in a mid-size town in a backward state. We’re talking Los Angeles. They need to get it right the first time.

I don’t care if they rewrote the news script, it’s just too frigging late for that. The harm was done on the airwaves. That son of a bitch newscaster needs to eat some crow and come out publically and apologize to the transgender community for his insensitivity and brash display of bigotry.

Frodo was arguing that she was a sex worker. At this point that statement is incorrect. However, trans people often have to do sex work after losing their jobs and getting shunned by family and society. They often don’t have an opportunity to get other jobs.
