THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — And the face has a name — Randy Thomasson, the leader of a transgender hate group. Thomasson thrust his face into infamy on national television when he ended his guest appearance on a live CNN news segment by telling another guest, trans man Masen Davis of the Transgender Law Center (TLC) and host Brooke Baldwin, a snide remark: “Hey, good to talk to you ladies.”
The TLC released a statement saying Masen Davis was not at all rattled by Thomasson and his fearmongering.
Davis told Raw Story: “Thomasson’s attempt to disrespect my own gender identity by referring to me as a ‘lady’ said more about him than me (I’m no lady, and clearly he is no gentleman). I am comfortable in my own skin, and proud of my journey as a transgender man. I have heard, though, from many transgender people and allies who are very upset by his shallow attempt to mis-gender me. Failing to honor the gender identity of a transgender person is a common way for anti-equality zealots to try to undermine our credibility and humanity.”
Media Matters expressed surprise that CNN invited someone with a history of making inflammatory comments who is also the leader of savecalifornia.com — a known hate group according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, to the program.

While there is no shortage of faces to represent transphobia, the cowardice bullying by Thomasson puts him one above everyone else.

Heh, notice the “ass” within his name.
‘Thom’ has his ‘ass on’ backwards.
There are losers. There are haters, then there are the losers who hate. No one would know this person even existed if he didn’t fall into the last category.
Not news to me. I stopped watching CNN 2 years ago, for this reason. They brag about having at least two openly Gay commentators, but repeatedly they have had bigots like this on air and allowed them to spout their ignorance.
i think that it was great for viewers to see the contrast of high level, thoughtful competence of Mason Davis vs the low level, thoughtless ignorance of Thomasson. This solidifies the need for protection with laws and policies from the obvious prejudice and hate. There are many ways to support LGBT rights, but cutting out the other half of the argument is not an equal process. I believe our cause will always win in an intelligent debate.
Just because he disagrees with you it doesn’t mean he hates you. I disagree with child molesters but I do not hate them.
