Two trans women reportedly murdered in Mexico in recent days

diana martinezTHE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — According to a social media post that was translated from Spanish into English, a trans woman was murdered in Monterrey, Mexico this week. Diana Martinez was shot 4 times inside the Hotel Colon by a single gunman according to a witness.

The same report said another trans woman was brutally murdered in Hidalgo a few days earlier.

I’ve been unable to confirm this report, or get additional details but this is somewhat typical as news media tend to ignore or report inaccurately on the murder of trans people. This is especially so in certain countries like Mexico. I might add here that “Diana Martinez” is a rather common name used by trans women.

Tip of the hat to Elizabeth Jenkins.
