Romney supports an anti-trans organization who says trans are sexual predators

Romney supports an anti-trans org.

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — Yep, Mitt Romney’s tax returns show he supports the actions of a trans-hate group that use fear mongering to discourage passage of a Mass. transgender rights bill. [An Act Relative to Transgender Equal Rights]

Tactics include, yep again, focus on the “danger” of having trans people in public bathrooms. Indeed, the Massachusetts Family Institute unleashed a trans-hate “Who’s going to be waiting for your wife and daughter?” media campaign in an attempt to get the bill defeated.

From their website: “We are opposed to the “Bathroom Bill” because of the chilling effects that it will have on the privacy, safety and modesty of all residents, especially children and women.”

To sum this up in one sentence: they are implying that transgender people are sexual predators. And GOP presidential contender Mitt Romney gave them his blessing.

Vote accordingly.

Note: This bill was signed into law in Jan. 2012.

  1. Love your posts, Lexie! We must continue to educate and expose the idiocy of some that claim to represent the ‘people’.

  2. The MA transgender rights bill passed and was just signed into law by Governor Deval Patrick.

  3. H502 was redrafted as H3810, which was signed into law by Governor Patrick on Nov. 23, 2011. The changes to current law take effect on July 1, 2012.

Thankfully, in this case Romney’s money was wasted.

  4. If women would quit allowing society to treat them as weak and fragile beings this wouldn’t be an issue. Also where are all the bills about the FTM transitioners? Are only the MTF transtioners a threat to cis-gender women? These people pushing this kind of hate need to be assaulted in their own bathrooms to prove that it’s not a one way street and that men can get assaulted in their bathrooms as well. I find it quite pathetic that these people continue to use restrooms as battlegrounds for their idealistic hate.
