Chrissy Polis, victim of McDonald's beating is arrested for creating a disturbance.
THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT – Trans woman Chrissy Polis, the beating victim in the McDonald’s video that went viral, was arrested for creating a disturbance following an apparent robbery. Apparently the police may have aggravated the situation by referring to her as “him”. The police claim she stated: ‘You don’t know who I am. I will have you fired …”. They said she was speaking loudly and was disturbing her neighbors. I was unable to find names of neighbors or the people who may have been at Polis’ home.
I don’t know what to make of this. Some reports say her stories about the robbery incident aren’t consistent. I do know her legal team is planning a lawsuit against McDonald’s shortly and that the incident at McDonald’s has resulted in several changes in Maryland law benefiting trans people. The persons who attacked her at McDonald’s are serving lengthly prison terms. Creating ruckuses at this time is not going to help her or the trans community. The Baltimore police, however, may need a some training though as referring to a female trans person as a “he” is never correct. The police did say they are investigating the robbery.
From the Baltimore Sun: “Charging documents say that Polis became agitated again and “was causing a major disturbance in the neighborhood and would not lower his voice even though I [the police officer] was continually advising him to do so. … [she] continued to scream, ‘You don’t know who I am. I will have you fired …”

[UPDATE: I added more information to clarify that the police made the claim she said “I will have you fired” and that I found no names of witnesses at this point. Stay tuned. ]
