College GOP org. prez Lauren Pierce tweets an Obama 'assassination joke'
THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — Y’all as tempting as it may be, don’t shoot Obama. We need him to go down in history as the WORST president we’ve EVER had! #2012.” — Lauren E. Pierce, president of the University of Texas at Austin College Republicans. According to a report, the organization has since asked her to resign and a temporary president will serve until the next election.
Jokes about assassinating the president are never funny, more so when you are in a position of strong political influence. I’m not saying this just because a Democrat is in office. As bad as the actual worst president ever was (that would be George W. Bush), jokes about a potential assassination on him simply wasn’t done. I believe she owes Obama and her fellow Texans an apology.
