11-year-old is given drugs so he can decide on gender.

Gender Spectrum Supports Hormone Blocking Therapy

THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — (These quotes are from FOX News — NOT a trustworthy source, that said, this is only link I could find.)

“A lesbian couple in California who say their 11-year-old son Tommy who wants to be a girl named Tammy are giving their child hormone blockers that delay the onset of puberty — so that he can have more time that he can have more time to decide if he wants to change his gender.

The couple’s supporters say the Hormone Blocking Therapy has only minor side effects and is appropriate for a child who is unsure of his gender. “This is definitely a changing landscape for transgender youth,” said Joel Baum, director of education and training for Gender Spectrum. . . .”  http://www.genderspectrum.org/

On the other side of the issue we have this:

“This is child abuse. It’s like performing liposuction on an anorexic child,” said Dr. Paul McHugh, professor of psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University. “It is a disorder of the mind. Not a disorder of the body. Dealing with it in this way is not dealing with the problem that truly exists. “We shouldn’t be mucking around with nature.  . . .”

***Again, this is quotes from FOX News, so don’t be surprised if there’s some slanting of the news. Feel free to post a newer news source. Thanks for reading. ***

  1. Well, we don’t really have enough information to speak directly to this child. On the one hand, we have that he is said to have claimed clearly when he was 3 that “I am a girl.” This reminds us of our sisters who (I call them “end of the spectrum”) know from the earliest days that they are not of the assigned gender. This would make it clear to many of us. On the other (and I have no idea what this means, if it means anything at all) we don’t know what influences have been predominant in this child’s life. – this seems like the weak side of the argument, given what we think we have learned about gender identity in the last 30 years. My personal feelings say “Yay! This kid was born in the right place at the right time!”

  2. Well, for sticking up for the boy and parents, this is what happened….someone tried to intimidate me to shut me up! http://wp.me/nQPn Of course, it didn’t work because the only threat was the one he/she made…of false prosecution. In his/her mind “gender” is clearly some serious threat!
