This is fantastic news . . . we’re talking precedent here — along with San Francisco’s earlier announcement of the same, these gains for TG city employees pave the way for other private and public employers to offer the same.
“The surprise announcement capped six months of negotiations between several City commissions, the Mayor, the City Council, and a coalition of city unions. . . . ‘People are skeptical of government,’ LGBT Commission Co-Chair Tiffany Nelson told SGN in an interview, ‘but they did the right thing – and in a timely way!’
