THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — “Two transgender people won an appeal in Australia’s highest court Thursday giving them legal recognition as men despite not having had complete sex change surgeries.” (Quoted from the Associated Press.)
This is an interesting development benefiting a number of trans people caught in a sort of technical limboland.
Also from the AP: “Aram Hosie, spokesman for the W.A. [Western Australia] Gender Project, said transgender people had previously been unable to legally change their gender “without invasive, medically unnecessary surgeries that may be unwanted, impractical or unattainable.”
There has been a lot of great news for trans people coming out of Australia these days.
