The oppression of Saudi Arabian women isn't ending any time soon.
THE GUERRILLA ANGEL REPORT — Besides the fact that voting in a country that is ruled by the royal family is rather meaningless, Saudi Arabia is a seriously backward country if they’re just now giving women the right to vote. Women there are not allowed to drive and cannot go to most places without a male chaperone. They need written permission from a male before they can travel, and to have certain types of surgeries. Then there is the garb thing. I could go on and on, but the point is this, for females, Saudi Arabia is one of the most oppressive countries on the planet, and unless wholesale changes are made in that society pronto, this so called progress is more of an insult than anything else.
