LEXIE CANNES STATE OF TRANS — The transgender woman who requested a gender change from the California DMV and received a letter from an employee stating what she was doing was “an abomination that leads to hell,” settled her lawsuit.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the state agreed to pay her $40,000 and the DMV employee, $15,000. The DMV employee was suspended after the incident and later quit his job.
